SCDATACOM, LLC is now a New York State Certified SDVOB

scDataCom, LLC - a nationally recognized small business specializing in the design, installation and service of Physical and Electronic Security Systems for Public and Private sector clients - was just certified by the State of New York as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB). scDataCom, LLC is also recognized by the Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) for it’s service-disabled veteran-owned status.

scDataCom, LLC supplies a range of physical security and communications solutions, including video surveillance, telecommunications, access control, radio communications and low voltage cabling to customers in both the private and public sectors. Products and services from the company can now be applied to New York State requirements for SDVOB for contract content.

scDataCom’s majority owner, Kathleen Ford, is also the company’s Chief Executive Officer - She provides the strategic leadership that ensures the mission and core values of the company are put into practice. An experienced leader, Kathleen is retired from a distinguished career with the United States Army Nurse Corps spanning 26 years. She has held executive level responsibility for organizations with up to 1000 personnel serving beneficiary populations of up to 85,000. She holds a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College as well as Low Voltage Licensure in Georgia, Florida and South Carolina.

Under Kathleen’s leadership, scDataCom has been selected as the Prime Contractor for Federal Awards in over a dozen states, with values ranging upward of $3.4 million.

Recently the company completed a project at the New York Hudson Valley VA Healthcare System comprised of the replacement of over one thousand cameras, two hundred thousand feet of Cat6 cable and the installation of ten 720TB Network Video Recorders.  The project was a resounding success, earning scDataCom an “Exceptional” rating in the Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS) as well as effusive accolades from contracting officials, VA staff and local law enforcement.
